M80

Trying a m80 this year its hard on AA energizers are the lithium ion
batteries worth the extra money.

Thanks
Martin

You might think about going with recharghables.

Lithium batteries stand up better in cold weather.
As PastorJim08 suggested trying rechargeables, I agree with him on this. My only suggestion is do not use Energizer rechargeables as they are 1.2 volt on the package. Testing these with a digital meter they will vary from 1.2 to 1.28 volt. Using a good charger, they can be bumped up to 1.38 to 1.44 volt. These are a slow drain battery. Once a battery gets down to 1.0 to 1.2 volt, the camera will not function properly, or not at all. I have tried these, but have switched over to Pure Energy rechargeables which are available at most WalMarts. The Pure Energy list at 1.5 volt on the package and testing most are 1.55 volt and can be bumped up to 1.6 plus volt.
Good luck in whatever you decide.

Energizer Lithiums are all I use. I get them at Sams for 12/$18
What brand of alkalines were you using?

Pnut: I've read various posts where you mentioned the Lithiums, so I did some voltage readings as follows:
Energizer Titanium 1.55 volt.
Energizer Lithium 7X 1.79 volt.
Energizer Lithium 8X 1.83 volt.
These batteries were fresh out of the package, never used, but I have had them for approximately one year. Batteries were checked with a digital meter. This extra voltage is more than worth the difference in price as compared to standard batteries and especially if the batteries are used in colder weather. If not using rechargeable batteries, I would be like you and highly recommend the Lithium.
In Canada, when I purchased the 7X and 8X from a battery supply store they cost approximately $16.00 for a package of four.

I'm using Lithium along with the Solar Panel and my cam just dropped down to 96% on Thursday and the cam been out since Sept 4th.

My M80 has done real well on lithiums. It has taken lots of videos and pics.
