Default basic trail cam

Never used one before but think it would be fun for the kids (and me!) Any recommendations for a basic (i.e. inexpensive) camera that will be just for fun and to get us started.
Thanks!

You NEVER need a viewer. Any of the built-in viewers I have seen are unviewable in the sunlight and too small to be able to see very much. Right now is a good time to buy an inexpensive camera because most dealers are trying to clear out last years models. Some solid cameras at a good price are the Wildgame Innovations X6C, Moultrie D55, Moultrie D55IR, Stealthcam Unit, and some of the Wildgame Innovations cams. All of thes cams are in the $100 range. Here are a couple of links to give you more info on just about any camera made. http://www.trailcampro.com/

Trailcampro is an excellent place to start because if you have questions, they actually prefer that you call them so they can help answer any questions. I have purchased from them many times and their advice and customer service is second to none. Hope this helps.

Could not have said it better myself. If you decide on a Ltl Acorn camera, TrailCamPro doesn't stock them. Give Rick@CAM-O a call. Great guy!

They don't all work that well. Try and find a site that reviews them and you'll see what each can do. I'd buy them from a place that allows unrestricted returns. Then you can also have fun trying out the different ones with the kids and get a good education ta boot.

That's true, I had forgotten about the Primos line. Very solid line for a good price. As a matter of fact I would recommend them over the other suggestions I gave you.

I should have added that the truth 35 takes good daytime pictures the ir night range isn't as good as my steath cam or moultrie's. The greatest feature is the easy set up for pics or video, unlike some of the more expensive cameras. Be warned though cameras are very addictive.

Gonna second the Tasco, bet I have a half dozen, easy. We put'em out before we put in more expensive set-ups. Kind of a trial and error camera. The quality of the pictures it takes and the ease of use coupled with the price makes it a good starter-cam.
