If I build my own, usually in the neighborhood of $120.00. If I buy a commercial cam I usually spend at least $200 or more. Would you mind sharing the reason for your question?

I started out maybe 10 years ago with a 35mm camera for around = $100

3 years ago I jumped on two cameras for $100 (throw in 4-cards and rechargable bats for another $60) wondering if they would get stolen... Been lucky none so far!

Last year I bought the Bushnell on sale for $200.
X-mas I got a x6c for $130.

So I was an inbetweener on your pole = $200 is max I'll spend to risk being stolen in the woods:)

Started out years ago, when all they had were 35mm, no idea how much they were.
Then I moved up to the Moultrie D40's, had 3 of those over the years for around $100 each. Then I got into Cuddeeback Captures, still have 2 of those for $200 each. Now I am into the homebrews. First one was about $175, and the second one was about $150. I think my next one will hopefully be around $125.

I started with film cameras about 13 years ago. Then I went to Leaf river cameras an ran them for a couple years. I do not have to worry a lot about mine getting stolen. So, I have three Reconyxs an have been using them going on four years with the oldest one.

Had a junker 35mm years ago, bought the cuddeback no flash when it was hot and new for whatever it costs? $400 at the time?

haven't bought another since...

I'd consider buying another though, probably something cheaper and with a flash perhaps, I haven't really looked at them in years though.

I see no reason to spend more than I did for my Primos Truth Cam 35 which was $80. Takes great pics.

Mine was cheap..about 70.00 from Walmart..I had been thinking about a game camera for a while.A neighbor has one just like it and likes it..I saw one marked down and bit the bullet.I'm very happy with my pics for such an inexpensive camera. For what I use it for..it's all I need. It still has the original batteries and well over 600 pics..I'll be swapping out the card tonight.

Fact..I plan to be in the tree tonight to try and score a hog.I love pork steaks and roast pork.
