First pics from my P41 but a problem

Here are the first pics from my P41 homebrew but the camera seems to have a problem. The display screen on the camera is white. It still seems to take pics but with the screen now being white, I can't change the camera settings.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

Most likely the ribbon for the lcd needs to be cleaned.

Pastorjim, did you try the knuckle rap method ?
The reason I ask is I recently bought a supposedly non-working S40 on ebay that had a whitescreen issue. Did a search and a guy suggested turning it off, holding it in one hand and giving the front a good knuckle rap with the other. Seemed to have worked for me as the screen returned to normal, I can now access the menu and has worked fine for about 2 weeks now. Sounds pretty crude and probably not recommended by some, but for me it worked.
From what I have read if I recall correctly, it is usually a torn or misaligned ribbon cable issue, but I could be wrong. Hopefully you have already gotten the advice you need. If not, give that method a try and good luck....don
