Best trail camera for the money?
I am wanting to buy a trail camera but they seem to be so dang expensive. Is their a good camera for under $150? Any advice on trail cameras?
Thanks, gen. |
I wasn't to keen on some of the Wildgame Innovations cameras in the beginning but according to chasingame.com they have come a long way with their cameras this year. Most of those are less than $150.00. Also the Primos cams are getting good reviews and I know that at least two of their models are in your price range. Hope this helps.

Thanks Jim! I will take a look.

The customer service ar Wildgame is great. I have four Wildgame cameras. My IR4 started acting up. They had me send it in and they are replacing it. For the money I have been very pleased with them. I also have a Wildview camera. I don't care for it at all. Just my opinion.

For me, it's easy to answer. The spypoint FL-A is the best for the money. It's infrared, easy to use and great pictures. You can even have it for $99 on Gander's website. Hard to beat that !!!

I own 4 2009 Bushnell trophy cams and they work great.
I did a test with a few cameras from a local archery shop and really liked the Wildgame X6C. I bought two of them and really like them. Dicks sports has them on sale now for $125.00 Here are a few picture and videos from the Wildgame. http://s295.photobucket.com/albums/m...dmomsbuck1.mp4 http://s295.photobucket.com/albums/m...dmomsbuck2.mp4 http://s295.photobucket.com/albums/m...dmomsbuck4.mp4 ![]() ![]() |
I love my I-40 by Moultrie. I got it for $180 from www.americangunnery.com
I did a contact us with them and they were willing to offer me a discount code because they are a new company trying to build business. Here is the direct link to their cameras. They shipped fast. http://www.americangunnery.com/shop/...px?catid=18441 |
be very very very careful with the I40, i have had nothing but bad bad bad luck with it, if its not in DIRECT SUNLITE you will only get Black and white pictures during the day ;-( in the woods that will be all you get until the leaves fall ;-( I have sent two of them back to the moultrie because they were both thesame exact thing, they are sending me an I60 now free of change because ofthis, but I am sure it will be the same exact way

The only cam that I'd buy under $200 is the Primos.

Thanks, gen. $50.00 It makes videos, and pictures. It did real good before it grew leggs, and walked away. Any way I got the Trail, and two 4 gig SD cards and an extended warrenty. The total cost was $77.44 + a $12 pack of C cell batteries that had 12 batteries in it. So for less than $100.00 http://s1219.photobucket.com/albums/...=LittleGuy.mp4 http://s1219.photobucket.com/albums/...LittleGuy2.mp4 This pic is before I got the trail cam at the right height. ![]() Day time pic to show what the pics look like. I will post some pics with some animals now that I have the cam set at the right height. lol ![]() ![]() |

I agree. My buddy just picked one up and it works great. Ganger MT has em like he said for 99 bucks from 179.00. His batteries last forever unlike my stealthcam (stay away from these) |
I have owned many trail cameras and the wild view is the best for the money. I dont know how well it does in the cold
