BTW, I found out the picture quality issue I had was because I had the resolution set incorrectly. I tested it some more today and it takes pretty good pictures for a cheaper camera.

The detection range of 15-25 feet seems about the max, its a bit more in the daylight it seem, perhaps 30 feet.

After doing some more testing, it seems to be detecting out to 30-35 feet. It does seem to blur the pictures a bit as the subject walks by. I haven't set it out yet in the deer woods.
