freaky rack [pics][update]
 

hey guys ! been awhile since i posted any pics. have had a couple cams out and need to put a couple more out but just haven't got fired up yet. heard about a couple bruisers in the area i had pics from/hunted last year and hope to get that spot covered soon. damn heat this summer is terrible !:devil:
got pics of this little guy earlier in the year here at home and hopefully my feeding during the winter kept him alive.i know he suffered and was planning on culling him this fall. i don't know if he had been shot or what,but i guess it's true about an injury causing antler deformation. here's a few pics. i'll post updates as he showes up at my cams.

poor guy...I hate to see a deer limpin' around. shows how resiliant they are though.

That leg looks pretty bad, pobably won't make it through the winter.

i have gotten a few more pics over the past month but these are from the past couple days.he hadn't been showing much where i have my cams back in the woods,but i had seen him close to the house so i set a cam up close to my pond.we been under severe heat/drought here for two months and i guess he just can't travel far with that bad leg.

he's not got a huge rack but i am going to harvest him if i can.
i don't feel it's a waste of my only buck tag. i've eaten plenty of tags since 1995. i'm like most people in that i want big antlers...
but i won't kill just to say i killed a buck. i love and respect wildlife too much for that. COYOTES...on the other hand i kill for fun,but i don't waste the fur on them.:s2:

bow season starts here on Oct. 1st so look forward to seeing him
in my hands ! my buddy is going to mount the head for me.:cool2:

I'd say he's pretty much gonna have to go. That leg looks pretty bad.

Looks like he has been hit by a car in the past. The front shoulder is totally dislocated.
