Everyday is looking better and better.

These were from yesterday.
Some are from 3:20 in the afternoon.
The season can't come soon enough.

Think you can catch one of the smaller ones and drop him off near me!

2robinhood 07-28-2010 04:29 PM

They are 100% free roaming deer.
The fence was actually to keep the deer out of the field.
It is a closed ( 6 years now ) flower farm.
I cut the hole in the fence to let the deer in.
I have permission to hunt the field but not the woods, so I'll be ground hunting.
Here is a picture of the fence.

Holy Moly!!!

If I had pictures like that on one of my food plots the other guys in the hunting club would be plotting my demise.

WIbuckchaser 07-28-2010 07:10 PM

Wow a lot of nice bucks there.

I just have so many pictures, I can't post them all.
Here are a few more.

2robinhood 07-28-2010 07:41 PM

I moved the camera about 100 - 125 yards away from this spot.
I'm hoping to get some better/more pictures.
I am pulling the card this Saturday @ noon.
Noon time seems to be the time they are not around my camera.
I have had them as late in the morning as 9:00am and as early as 3:00pm.
I'll post what I find.

Canuck33 07-29-2010 03:52 AM

I'm thinking you shouldn't have to much trouble in that field if you play your cards right.

I'm have my fingers crossed.
There is one hunter in the woods and he won't let me in it.
That's why I am confined to my field.
He took an average 7 pointer last year, but he also isn't an everyday hunter. ( I am ).
He put a ladder stand in the woods 60 yards from the hole in the fence.
I had chances at the 7 pointer when he wasn't there, so it may work out for me.

Too bad you can't climb one of them trees. It seems to be a perfect spot.
