here are two that I have on camera i have 5 more from my property but they are all 1.5 olds for sure what do you think about these
The first I would think is 1.5 but has a filled out nose so thinking maybe 2.5 with small horns the second I think is either 2.5 or 3.5 what are your thoughts |
id say both are 1.5 year olds come hunting season
both 1 1/2
each are 1 1/2. First one was prolly born later.
I agree with the rest. I see no muscle mass through their shoulders. The second picture though looks like he'll be a dandy in three or four years. Keep record of him through the years.

Ok I have 3 more bucks almost identical in size to this one I know these are all 1.5 years old I dont see how the second pic above can possible be a 1.5yr old
2 yr old for second pic born late or mabey just small body but alot of antler growth so far
The second deer is only 1.5, and he is not that big for a 1.5. But then again the deer could be smaller in your area than most.
1.5 year old deer range in size just like 5 year olds... The main thing that I noticed from the picture is the lack of muscle definition that deer get as they get older. Carbon Slinger is %100 percent correct. One last thing, to get a true answer, you need to show the pic to people that are familiar with the deer in the area. |
Most likely 1.5.
