Interpolated....

Regarding the new Bushnell TC, some of what I've read says the resolution goes from 3, 5, and up to an interpolated 8 MP.

What does interpolated mean ?

Thanks Littlearrow, I looked at that link and seems to be several different opinions, which is what I found when browsing.

I just tried a search on this site and found an old thread with a link that explained it pretty well also.
