I own a Reconyx RM 45, a Moultrie I-40 and a Cuddeback Capture IR. All three are good cameras with different benefits. The Reconyx and Cuddeback have a great trigger speed. The battery life on the Reconyx and Moutrie are awesome, often reaching 4 to 5 months even during the Wisconsin cold winters. The Moultrie takes up to 30 second videoes which is cool and the trigger distance and picture quality are by far the best of the three cameras. The Cuddeback is very simple to use. The Reconyx has many different setting for use in just about any setting.

Currently the Cuddeback Capture IR (purchased in December 2009) is for sale. $190. send a pm for for information and pictures.

This is a no-brainer really,

If your spending under $200 and want QUALITY, you only have 3 options.

The Moultrie I-40
The Bushnell/Scoutguard/HCO....all relatively the same thing i believe
The Cuddeback Capture FLASH

I own the I-40 and the Capture

The pictures speak for themselves:

Best bang for the buck (no pun intended)?

Probably the BTC as it can be used over feeders or trails. The pics are not the best but are pretty good for scouting purposes.

The new UWAY cam looks good on paper, we'll have to wait and see.

Reconyx new hyperfire has some new fangled high def lens listed on the spec sheet and their cams are the standard by which others are measured and their price relects it.

I have used Moultrie, Stealth, Wildview and I purchased a Primos35 this year. The Moultrie I40 take really good pictures, has great battery life but the trigger speed is extremely slow. This needs to be taken into consideration when picking a spot for this camera. The Stealth Cam has been very reliable as it was one of the first digital cams they came out with and it is still working but again the trigger speed is slow. In my oponion the Wildview cams are not worth the $50 you can buy them for I would stay away from these. Out of all the cams I have used I have been most impressed overall with the Primos35. Very solid camera for $100. It take great pics during the day and I would say adequate pics at night. The trigger speed is fantastic for this price range. It is also very easy to set up and the video mode works really good as well. The battery life is not as good as the Moultrie but should last you 3 months on picture mode. I have a buddy that uses the Bushnell and loves it, very good pics, good trigger time and great battery life but you can buy two Primos for that price.
