I put out my spring bear bait the other day and hung 2 cudde's and 2 moultrie's, it's pretty early but we have already lost all of our snow, will give it a few weeks and see what's doing....stay tuned

What is your main source of bait?? Here in wisconsin we can put out 10 gallons, but it can't be in any sort of container. We have to put logs over top or place it in a hollow stump. This is my first year bear hunting, so I'm excited to give it a try and see what kind of pictures I get. Have you ahd any issues witht he bear going after your cameras?? Do you use a bear safe lock box?

Hey Bandgod,

I use mainly oats with used resturant cooking grease and if I can get it for cheap I use corn as well. I also have a guy that sometimes gets me old candy, they LOVE that!!
Yes they do like to come after the camera and yes I use a bear safe box for all my cameras, for bears and the two legged bandits!!!
If I recall correctly I had about 4000+ bear pics last spring.

Very nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. A few of my friends have seen the odd bear out about a week ago. Personally I have not because I haven't got out to those areas yet "Riding Mountain" etc.

Ron....I would be a total nervous wreck everytime I went out to check those trail camera's!...did I mention Bears scare me to death? Yikes!!!!!

Do You pack a Rifle or large Handgun with You when you check your camera's?

I like the first picture where the small bird is frozen in flight on the side of that big Bear!
