I use a free graphics (picture) viewer called IrfanView and you can download a free copy here http://www.irfanview.com/ I have been using this simple, and easy to use program to view and edit pictures since the beginning of time, or from the early days of computers which ever came first..lol. Once you install it, go to the top where it says Image and under that go to Resize/Resample and choose the size you want to reduce your picture to. Then simply save it under File to the folder you wish to store it in. You can also easily crop photos under Edit as well as easily adjust the light and color under Image. This program is not complex, and doesn't do all the things a program like PhotoShop does. But it will do some basic things quite easily for computer challenged guys like me.
