cuddeback capture IR connecting to a tree?
I just got a cuddeback capture IR. It uses a strap to connect to the tree, however when you mount the bracket to the back of the camera, the bracket sticks out from the camera, so when you connect ot the tree you can't get a good firm connection to the tree. end result is the camera moves if you touch it etc.
Has anyone found a way to deal with this? I've thought of flipping the mounting bracket around, but then the strap may not fit since the holes for the strap will be up against the camera |
Buy a strong mount for it.

Security box for that cam is only $29.95 from Trailcampro and it lagbolts to the tree. Fits the camera like a glove.

i agree with pastorjim, serves two purposes, good mount to tree and secure

Unfortunately I can't use anything that screws into the tree, against the law here in NH, which is VERY strange given all the maple syrup gatherers we have. We can't use anything for hunting that penetrates the bark.

Heres one that does not need to be lagbolted
