Ate the tops of the turnips flush to the ground.
We probally had 7 acers worth though out the property.
Also dumped darn near 4000 lbs of corn.
There's still snow on the ground.
All of this is in Ohio.

I found the name of the Company that I got some of my seeds from...Evolved Harvest, brand called "Shot Plot" in a 2 1/2 pound bag I believe? They make several other seed mixtures that are very good also.I also like the Pennington "Clover-Trio" mixture of 3 different type of hardy growing clover. www.evolved.com
Now some of the seeds and mixtures I mentioned can also be bought in bulk or loose amounts at most local Feed and Seed Store's like CO-OP,MFA and they may be at a local Bass Pro Shop,Cabela's or Wal-Mart too...so shop around or find the brands mentioned on sale and you'll still get them at a good price!

Thanks for all the advice, I def wont give up on the turnips but i am going to mix them with a variety of plants that will attract them earlier in the year. What i have found is that the deer are around there a lot in early fall until after the rut which ends toward the end of november around my parts, however, they seem to disappear once that first snow hits and head down to the river bottoms, so with that being said I think i need to mix a variety of earlier maturing plants that the deer like b4 they head out of the area and maybe it will keep them around longer to hit the turnips
