Few Iowa bucks - Buck in the rut
 

Sorry guys for not posting any pictures. My batteries ran out about 3-4 weeks ago and I never had a chance to buy any more batteries so this last weekend I searched around the cabin and I replaced my bad batteries with the good batteries in our flash lights... shhh... dont tell mommy and daddy. ;)

I put it out sunday and I went hunting tonight and checked it. Got a few bucks on there. Only one decent one. Others are small ones that I have seen when out hunting.

Looks like this buck is in his rut. This last weekend I was sitting in my stand and two does come sprinting into the bean field then all of a sudden stop and look back and here comes this little 4 pointer. The one in this picture. 4 pointer that is wide.





Couple other smaller gentlemen. I've seen both these guys several times. I got the second buck on video camera walking right past my blind.




Of course the only big buck I've got has to be far out so you can barely see him. For you older folks, hes a nice sized 8 pointer. I've seen him a time or two.



Thats all in the past two days. Im sure I will have many more by the end of the week so hold on tight, it wont be long.

Also look on the time of the bigger buck. 5:20 AM. Hes getting closer to day light. :D He should be showing up in the fields pretty soon.
