She's Back!
![]() My buddy shot this deer high last season and got this pic a few days later. He got several more pics throughout the season and the deer made a complete recovery. |
That's amazing. I still think that sometimes it just is not there time to go.
Thats really something
I would try like hell to harvest that doe if he could-then put it on the wall. If there were ever a reason to mount a doe--this is it
is that a climber in the back of the pic lol...get back in ur stand buddy and get her!
haha wow it seems like she would been killed by that shot i know its high but not that high
yes very weird how she lived through that. Must be right under the spine and missed all the main arteries. Thats pretty wild, I've smoked a few in that exact spot with a gun, they drop like a bag of cement.
I always heard there was a "no man's land" up in that spot. I guess after seeing that girl survive that shot, there may be something to that.
My bet is the picture shows the exit wound and the arrow went above the spine. There is a main artery that runs just below the spine...if hit, that doe would be stir fry. IMHO
thats a pretty high exit wound no?, assuming it was shot from a treestand, even from the ground, you'd have to be shooting upwards. you'd think she'd be dead if it was the entrance though..either way she's a tough old girl
