Securing a Cuddeback Capture
 

When will Cuddeback get their .... together when it comes to securing the cam to the tree? What a joke! For a quality cam you would think they would come up with a better system! :s8: This thing would be sooo easy to steal it's ridiculous!! Also, only having one point of connection to the tree makes it rather unstable. I had to get that out. I feel better now.:s2: Anyone else feel this way?

I feel ya, i always use sticks to position it on the tree better. Never had to worry about thieves in my area, which is good. knock on wood.

We use the strap to secure it to the tree, then we wrap a chain (very large links) and use a lock to secure it to the camera. The lock we use was the round type locks so they cannot be cut.

I bought a mount off eBay and it's very sturdy.
Still don't mean that someone couldn't steal it though.
If someone wants something bad enough they will just go and get the right tools.
