Yea, I'm south of Ashland in the Rice Lake area. I've heard coyotes in the evening and recently heard much different calls coming from the Blue Hills just north of our property.
The locals have also commented that several calves were taken out this spring which hasn't occured in 40-50 years around here so we're coming to the conclusion the wolves are moving into our area.
Thanks everyone for the candid comments. My dad, who grew up in this area, pointed out the long legs and remembers when wolves populated this area in the 40's. I really hope to see one during hunting season, provided I'm up in a tree.
