Aug. 25th pics by Pastorjim

We were out hanging stands today and I thought I'd check my cams. Not a whole lot but some good quality photos none the less.

If anyone can help me on this first set of photos, I think it may be the Magnum 8 but there seems to be rain or something on the lense. There is also a tree obscuring one side of his rack.

I was suprised at the number of turkeys I got this trip. And with their young.

I always hate raccoon pictures but I gotta show this one.

This guy was so close to the camera, I'm sure he went around the rest of the night blinded by the flash.

The final pics from this batch. I thought pretty good photos.

I don't know how many more times I will check cams since we are getting so close to the season now...Maybe once more.

It is a Stealthcam I-590.

Pike, I am thinking of leaving a camera or two out during the season. I've never done that before but it would be interesting to see what shows up after the scrapes become active. I don't know but we'll see.

Great pics as usual P.J. I'm also thinking of leaving a camera or two out as well. I've never set one on a scrape and I think this will be the year. Thanks again for the pics.

Some great pics! Cut that tree down!!!!

WIbuckchaser 08-26-2009 08:27 PM

Never a dissappointment Jim. I think you better keep them out because we enjoy seeing the latest from the Pastor. The scrape action I got last yr. was awesome and I know you would have a lot of good action too. When the scrapes pop up, my camera goes on one of those, and it's flipped to video mode. I just hope for me that the bucks will scrape around my field this year, because it's no longer corn like it was last yr. Time will tell.

Great pics Jim. Keep em coming. That hen is one big hen.....something to think about this fall....

PastorJim08 08-27-2009 01:30 PM

"After further review," I have determined that the buck in the first set of pics in this post is NOT the Magnum 8. That is good news because it means there is another pretty good buck running around out there. One that I hadn't had a picture of previously.

You be the judge.
