We have moultree cams also. They take great pics and the battery life is awesome. We had over 800 pics last year with the same set of batteries.

Very nice bucks!

That's the time he posted to the group not when they were taken.

Did you disable the info bar on the cam and crop them before posting because those just don't seem like I40 pics to me. Call me crazy but I had one and it didn't take anything near that quality of a pic.. I took it back the a day after getting it.

I don't have the info bar disabled, did crop the pictures, but I did not adjust them in any other way. I am very pleased with the pics on my Moultrie I40. Thanks for the compliments. I have attached those three pics with the info bar on them plus a fourth pic.

Wow, maybe moultrie finally fixed the problems in it then. It's taking great day pics. How about night pics?

Night pics aren't bad, but definitely could be better. If I had more property and food plots I would like for them to be better. I have attached a night pic for you.

everyone keeps saying nice bucks? Isnt that the same deer in all pics?

PastorJim08 08-28-2009 06:38 AM

Great pics. I personally think the daytime pics from the I-40 are some of the best there are.

No there are two different bucks. The wider and taller one is a 10 pt. and the other one is an 11 pt. I thought the same thing when I first looked at the pics but after looking at them again I seen they were different deer. The 11 pt. has a crab claw at the end of his right main beam and a split tine on his left side.

tboned: I have used sandisk and kodak in mine and they have both worked great.

Thanks for all the good comments from everybody, I really appreciate it. Good Luck to everyone this up coming season.

BigDaddy12t 08-29-2009 02:03 PM

Nice pics! Daytime pics are awesome, but I agree, the night time pics could be better.

Mountain Cur 08-29-2009 05:07 PM

you must not have had a Moultrie I40. my I40 was on a tree from April to August (5 months) and took approximately 3,500-4,000 pics on one set of batteries. when i replaced the batteries, the cam advised the batteries were still at 55%. i did not want to take a chance with slower trigger times due to weaker batteries, so i went ahead and replaced them.

Okie-Buck 08-30-2009 03:32 PM

I agree, last year I would get a least 4000 pics out of a set of batteries. I think I averaged about 700 to 800 pics every 2 weeks. I cant think of a better camera for the money.

osagematt 08-31-2009 07:22 AM

i have two I-40's and they kick ass. Amazing pic quality, dont scare deer, and last a long time. I had one for 3 months before i decided it was so good i needed another. Cant wait to see my new pics with it!
