Boy you have some fantastic ground there I always think I have good ground to hunt till I see some of the pics guy's post on here. What wildview camera do you run?

Hunt4Life23 08-03-2009 10:20 AM

Great pics as always Pike. Got a lot of critters runnin around your property and some good lookin bucks

J Pike 08-03-2009 01:34 PM

Thanks guys!! If you guys think we have alot of yotes and coons you should see our turkey, rabbit and grouse populations.
Canuck the cams that took the pics I posted are Wildview Xreme 4 and 5 cams.
I have 4 Xtreme 4 cams, 1 Xtreme 5 and 3 VGA cams.
The other cams in the pics are Moultrie D-40's (I have 3 of them) but I only buy them when they have a huge sale on them. Pike

Great pictures!

The one with the possum swinging is very funny.

Siman08/OH 08-03-2009 05:25 PM

Pike, awesome like always,

That one buck is a real stud...keep tabs on him

ksfowler 08-03-2009 05:47 PM

Nice pictures. You have some fantastic deer. What is the price on that camera as well?

leadoperator 08-03-2009 06:32 PM

Good post pike! thank you!

crabclaw 08-03-2009 06:36 PM

Pike, you have a couple of real bruisers there, good luck with them this fall. Get one of them and then get yourself some yotes.

J Pike 08-03-2009 07:22 PM

Thanks guys!! Siman dont worry I am, I actually patterned this buck last Feb. While shed hunting, I think I even found his sheds (one of them about 30 yards from where he is standing in the latest pics) but not sure since he didnt have any junk at 3.5 years of age.
so earlier in the summer I hung 2 stands based on the sign and the sheds I found last winter ( I even took pics of some of his rubs) and so far I am getting pics of him at both sets. I will post some more pics of him to show you how he has progressed over the summer.

KS. I paid any where from $30.00 -$50.00 for my wildviews depending on how good of sale and rebates they had on them. Right
now you can buy an Xtreme 5 flash for $88.00 and the Xtreme 5 IR for $99.96 at Dicks, but as you know it is peak trailcam season.

Jhelm, that is a coon shaking my corn out of my feeder as all his buddy's wait below.:D

Crabclaw dont worry I love Yote hunting and we have plenty of them.:D

J Pike 08-03-2009 07:28 PM

Here is some pics of him.

If you look in the back right hand corner of the pic you can see my stand waiting for the start of the season.

Very, Very impressive Pike. You have some fine animals running the property. Looks like a great place for the stand. Good luck

janesburg 08-04-2009 06:16 PM

Arrowmaster 08-04-2009 06:48 PM

allmightyhunter13 08-04-2009 06:50 PM

all great pics...Nice bucks!! and man i havent ever seen so many coyotes in one pic, thers a slew of em....

gregrn43 08-04-2009 07:34 PM

Very nice pics, yep varmit control for sure

J Pike 08-04-2009 08:19 PM

Thanks guys!! But why do you hate yotes so much? Don't get me wrong I love shooting them but I also love having them around and listening to them sing on my way into and out of the woods. The only thing that upsets me about them is that they are doing a very poor job controlling our coon & rabbit populations, those things are every where.

lone cedar farm 08-05-2009 06:24 PM

Awesome Buck pictures, thanks for sharing!!

that pack of coyotes look like trouble waiting to happen!

It looks like you'll have to fight your buddy cudoron for that first day stand. After all,he's on another site claiming that the property is his,the pictures are his and the stand in that sugar pear tree is his. He's taking credit for coming up with the idea of having 50% of that property in sanctuaries. He does give you credit for making the b/d ratio so good.I hope you guys are able to work it all out.

J Pike 08-06-2009 01:21 PM

doug yeh he told me about your conversation, The only thing he added to our plan was the sanctuaries. Which seems to be helping to hold more of our bucks at home.
Everything else pretty much was my idea's, atleast the one's that actually worked. Pike

DougE 08-07-2009 06:17 AM

I understand the theory behind sanctuaries.I'm not disputing that.Just curious as to why another guy is posting the exact same pictures on two different sites claiming that the pictures, property and stand are his? It's really none of my business.I just find it strange.Alot of the wording is also exactly the same as yours on the four or 5 different sites these same pictures are posted on.

I have no doubt that J Pike and Cuduron are the same person.Kinda like Bill Bixby and the Incredible hunk.Just crious as to why?

J Pike 08-07-2009 07:04 PM

Doug why are you so curious?? Must not have much of a life I guess.
Is your handle DougE on HuntingPA.com or is it DCE?
Never mind I really dont care what your handle is on different sites and like you said it really isnt any of my business. Pike
