I wondered the same thing about how the ants can get in there but yet water doesn't. But good news is I had the camera out today and it took some good pictures and didnt false trigger at all so hopefully that is a sign of good things to come

Sorry about your misfortune, the ants will crawl all over my Cudde's buthavn't gotten in yet, mine seem to sill up pretty tight though.

After two days of being in a ziplock with Raid soaked paper towel I took my Scoutguard out and sprayed it down with canned air again.
Put in fresh batteries and sd card and it fired right up.
Put it in my back yard for a day or two to see that it's still triggering correctly.

cams are weatherproof, not actually waterproof. they all have a weep hole for the components to get air. in theory if you cover the weep hole you stop the ants, but if you cover the hole the cam maynot get enough air to the boards and overheat.
