Buyin a camera

the camera is goin to be used to sit over a mineral site. I dont need a $300 quick capture camera. I need a cheaper camera (150)? that takes nice/descent pictures. any help would be appreciated...

cwanty03,

If this is your first trailcam purchase, welcome to the club. You will soon find that you will be addicted. Here are some examples in the price range you gave. This from a place called natchez shooting supply. You can google that name to find out how to obtain a catalog. Moultrie M-40 129.99 this is an exceptional buy on a great camera, just make sure it is the "M" model. Moultrie I-40 159.99 another good buy on a really good camera. I recently bought a Stealthcam I-590 from www.trailcampro.com for under 100.00 I haven't had for a long time yet but so far I am very pleased with it. Hope this helps.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

RE: Buyin a camera

I have a stealth camera I540IR and its great. The only thing I dont like is the nighttime black/white photos. It has great quality during the night and day but I dont like black and white photos. I would suggest buying a flash camera.

The moultrie D 40 camera is $100 and is very respectable. It is not IR but you do get pretty good color pictures at night. I would look in to that camera that PastorJim recommended, for that price i may pick one up my self.

cwanty & huntingfool I swear by Wildview Cams, I currently own 7 of them and you cannot beat their pic quality and reliability for the price! I have never had any problems with any of them. (Knock on wood!!)
I also own a D-40 and it does a good job aswell.
Below is alot of pics from a couple of my wildviews that I just posted a couple minutes ago.
And no I do not think the flash cams spook deer. Pike
