When is the best time to put out your trail cam?

I usually wait until about June 1st. to put my cams out but couldnt wait any longer and put 2 of them out on April 18th. But your not missing much by not having them out until then. But I would still go ahead get your mineral sites started now to give the deer time to find them and start using them. Pike

Atleast long enough that you could possibly pattern a deer(if that's possible) before hunting season, sumer times proly best.

I used to wait until about the middle of June to put my cameras out but I actually went yesterday and set all four of them out. You really won't get an accurate idea about the bucks rack-wise until the middle of June but it does give the opportunity to see whats out there and give you a rough idea about deer movement. So to answer your question, anytime's a great time for trailcams.
