RE: Talk to me about burst mode
Germ give me a little more info. Are you talking about the advantages of taking one piccompared to three or four in a row?

RE: Talk to me about burst mode
If you're talking about a cam taking 2,3 or however many pics in a burst a few seconds apart it simply gives you a better chance of getting something else on film, like perhaps a 2nd or 3rd deer coming down the trail that a single pic set with a longer interval between pics wouldnt get. If you have a cam with good battery life and a decent size SD card i would say that would be a good setting to have it on. I have my scoutguard set on a 3 pic burst with the interval set at 15 seconds between bursts. i will get pics with nothing on them when its set like this, but its better then missing something that may have walked by.

ORIGINAL: Germ What are the advantages? What are the disadvantages? Cons. The burst mode has a tendency to drain the batteries faster. You get lots of pics of a deer that just stands their amazed by the camera. When its close to rut. I will have mycamera on about 5 pics per trigger. I will get about 5 pics in 3 or 4 seconds. |
RE: Talk to me about burst mode
That's what I was wondering.
Does it tend to spook the deer more? |
RE: Talk to me about burst mode
I have not noticed it spooking deer more. Sometimes they just stand their an look at the cameras. The first pic is usual what gets them if they get spooked. Most of the time if they are in or near rut theyjust ignore the camera. This was thesecond picture of this deer an I got several more of him.He did not like the camera but it did not bother him alot. I think this deer is so scared of the daylight that he shuts his eyes an will notopen them until the sun goes down.

RE: Talk to me about burst mode
Does it tend to spook the deer more? I also enjoy the burst mode as well, because it can give you different angles of the deer as the walk by.. Also sometimes when the deer are moving it can give you a blurr on them and in burst mode it gives you a better chnce of getting a clear pic.. |
