how often do you check your trAil cam. mine is right on my land so I always get the itch to check it. how longwould you say i should wait. and I would like to some of your guys trail cam pics

I check mine every week during the off season. During the season I get full batteries and keep them out every two-three weeks.

It may seem like it should be the opposite way but I dont want to spook the deer everytime I go to check my cameras.

If i have a cam in a place that i know has quality bucks in it i wont check but once a month. If i have a cam in a place i've never hunted, i'll check it more often. The other thing i try to do to help keep scent down is wear hip waders and check my cams when its raining.

Once every 3 weeks..sometimes once every week. Depends..Im like others, itshard for me to leave them alone but I've been getting more self control lately :D.. Looking forward to pics soon, just put cameras out for the year.

Every 1 to 2 weeks. That way I can rotate them to find the hot spots.

This time of year I check them every two weeks, if I can stand to wait that long. In the past, during the trailcam season, June-Sept, In havetried to leave them alone for about six weeks at a time. This year I am going to have a different strategy. I have three cameras and I think I will try to rotate them every three weeks so that I can cover more areas and get a better feel on their movements.

If I'm in, what I think, is a good spot between 1 & 2 weeks, cause I'm so darn excited too see what's out there!
Sometimes 2-4 weeks during off season (April-July), at this time of the year I'm just looking for a little pick me up to get me to hunt season...

my cam is also on my land and just a 5 minute walk from my house and a 1 minute atv drive. i guess ill check every week or so

In my opinion the less you check It the better. You'll find out that If your checking It too often your pic numbers will go down. I try going every 10 days or so but like Ed said I get so damn excited that It doesn't always make It the 10 days for me.
