Anyone use "buck lickers"?? (Mineral Block)
im looking to buy a mineral block to set up infront of my trail camera to get a few more pictures of deer. at my local orschelns there are "buck lickers" by Evolved habitat and a few other mixes and molassis and i was looking for a few "reviews" of buck lickers to see if i should buy a few???

RE: Anyone use "buck lickers"?? (Mineral Block)
I don't think they are any better than a mineral/salt block used for cattle. Orschelns has them and they are a lot cheaper than any of the blocks that are supposed to be specially made for deer. Just my 2 cents worth. I don't have any mineral blocks out now but I will probably put some out in a week or so.

i use them all the time. ive put them out in winter and came back the next summer to put the cameras back out and there would be a hole a foot deep and about two feet wide

HAHA them things don't work at all... at least not for blacktails... Rocksalt or Ice cream salt works a lot better!

Any kind of mineral block/salt will work really. Just make sure you place it in a high traffic area.

I use them and they do work , today I put out a troyhy rock with a camera on it to see if it works as well as the primo mineral blocks that I have been using . I just got 180 pictures in two weeks on one of them .
