Pics from the fall of 2007

Here are a few pics I got on my Wildview 4.0 before someone "liberated" it. I hope they are enjoying it as much as I did.

great pics. to bad ya got ur camera stolen. Theres some real scum out there. I thought about putting a lock on mine but didnt really see the point in wasting the money. The only thing locks do is keep honest men honest. A thief will always figure a way to steal.

Yeah, I was kind of mad (put mildly) when it got stolen but I have forgiven and now I have Stealth Cam. Thieves are the reason I won't buy a real expensive cam.

When I take my cam out of the filed in a few weeks I will post some pictures of the lock box I made for it. I used a 50 Cal ammo box and it is bolted to a big tree with 8" lag bolts. Sure, it could be stolen but the thieves would have to put some effort into it. It works real good and also protects the cam from the elements. I was able to buy the box for about $4 at an Atwoods and already had the bolts. Pretty cheap security considering I have seen some worthless stuff sell for $50 or more. BTW, I don't use a regular lock, I use a heavy trigger lock that clamps over the entire trigger guard. Like I said, I will post pics later.

muzzlenut,

Those are some great pictures. I am sorry about your camera, that is very frustrating. I recently purchased a Reconyx camera and as you well knowthose are very expensive. Along with the camera, I got a security box from a company called swivel safe. I'm telling you, they might be able to destroy it with a sledge hammer but you won't be able to steal it short of chopping down the tree. They are a bit pricey and definately are heavier to carry than other enclosures but it's not too much trouble to protect your investment. Check them out at www.swivelsafe.com. Hope this helps.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

man those are some slammers. If I can give you one piece of advice try to not hang your cameras in places the people would obviously look like in a field right next to a feeder station, to easy to find for a-holes. I have a ton of spots I know I could land pics of the best bucks on the property but I also know others might be looking in those areas as well so i would rather forfit a good pic of a buck I want for a expensive camera. I know it sucks either way but this will help keep the honest people honest and the dishonest people looking a little harder next time. Unfortunetly we all need to realize the scum we are forced to coexist with these days and make the precautions
