Does she Look Pregnant?
 

Hey guys...
I just got my first trail cam, and the very first night I put it out, I got this pic of a doe.

Does she look pregnant to you guys? They are not usually this fat around here!
Season ends tomorrow (jan 3rd) one more day...sigh....it's been a good one though!

anyways..preggo? yes, no? her body just looks out of proportion to me..I dunno..maybe she's just standing at an akward angle.... I would think if she was preg, it would be a bit early for her to be showing?

Too early to tell. She doesnt look to be sagging much but its only January.

no....... but if all is right - she probably is.

I cannot usually tell a pregnant doe until around mid April. ( mostly November bred deer in our area)
They don't show a whole lot even in good years - until 3-4 weeks before dropping.

my dad said the exact same thing! hah...
I guess it's just an odd angle..I dunno...her back is arched sorta, and she is just fatter compared to whats "average" around here...our deer are usually on the smaller side here unfortunatley.. :(

All year I had seen this trail, she is looking directly over a logging road about 15 yards in front of her(cant see it in the pic) which has a thicket of planted young pines..REALLY thick and I never knew if this trail was being used for comming or going into the bedding area..I guess they were using it for comming into the bedding area..

Wish I had cams earlier!! I'm hooked already, got some cool pics of foxes as well....

Feel like a crack addict here waiting to go yank my SD card and see whats on it!! lol
I'm gonna let it sit for another week though. for me, getting pictures is ALMOST as fun as getting into the stand with a gun...

thanks chaz..as I said I didn't have a clue whether it was to early to tell or not...I'm learnin' :)
thanks guys...you guys are great...learned A LOT here this year..

Our season is officially over now..

Do alot of you keep your cams out all year? or for a few months after the season? I plan on keeping them out as long as I can..
Hoping to get some good pics.
