Germ they aren't cheap, luckily I had two Moultries to exchange that both quit working after a week of use and a gift card. The unit sells for $599.99 and the Reconyx RC55 which is the same camera but with a standard IR flash instead of the covert IR flash which is $549.99 Its not a cheap unit but it will make up over time with battery costs. www.chasingame.com did a review and was able to capture over 28,600 photos on a set of Energizer batteries and the camera was still reading 6% battery life.

MathewsShooter The tree is angled down and the sensor is designed to actually to pic up movement lower to the ground. It should work just fine.

The Reconyx website sells refurbished RM45's for $359.99, it takes great pictures but all black and white, no color. 1.3 MP doesn't sound like much but it's more than adequate for viewing on your PC. The RC 60 is color and higher resolution but $250 more. The flash is IR and if you stick it in a tree above eye level it won't spook deer. I ordered a few 2gb CF cards off Ebay for $9.96 shipping included. You can't beat that price in any store. I was tempted to get the 38gb card but then I would have to hire someone to view the millions of pictures and sort them[8D]
