Need a quality trail camera?

I have for sale or trade quality built trail cameras in 6.0mp and 7.2mp. They are both Sony cameras. They are housed in pelican 1040 waterproof cases. They are ran by the yeti board off a single 9 nine volt battery. They have several different trigger delays. Also has rapid pics mode. They are both small compact units and I warranty my work. I also have two video trail camera units for sale also. They are built using the Sony TRV-65 digital hi-8. The units have the ir arrays on top of them to film at night. If interested you can pm me or [email protected]. I also have the pics posted in the hunting gear classified forums.

Why would I do that??? You must not have seen the quality and clarity of pics that these cams take. No problems with them. Battery life is outstanding. Thanks though Ill stick with these.

I am not selling all of them that I have built. I have 8 cameras out right now and in the process of putting out 3 video units thatI have built over some scrapes. I have about 8-10 that I would like to sell. I want to buy daughter a .17 and a 20 ga. shotgun so she can start shooting. I enjoy building these cameras. I have had all different brands in the past. I have since sold all of those cameras and only build cameras for myself and who ever wants one ot two. I think these camerasperform really well and take excellent pics.

I wish I knew how to post some video. I do not know how to take the video from camcorder tape and edit it to post. Ifsomeone knows an easy way to do it let me know and Ill post some video. I have some outstanding video of a 6 point last spring bedded down beside corn pile eating corn while bedded.

You need the disk that came with the cam. It will allow you to install video editing software that can pull off video from the camera and save as an .avi or .flv (new Sony cam software allows this anyway). How are you storing data on the video camera?

The footage is recorded on the hi-8 tapes.

There is still Sony software that will allow you to connect to the camera via usb and pull off the video. It would have came with the camera.

It depends if your camcorder is USB streaming or not.

My parents have an older Sony that records to hi8 and I'm able to pull off video on the computer with it.

You would need some type of PVR (Personal Video Recorder) video card for your pc that is bundled with software that can capture the incoming feed.

Hauppauge makes some great video cards for this.
Here is a basic card that would do what you need:
