I bought it from walmat about 2 years ago and now this year it will not work with memory card in. any ideas ?

Try a different card. It's possible it went bad.

It will power on but it will not take pictures on the memory card it goes to internal memory. it never says sd card locked. But im waiting on moultrie to email me back

It shouldn't say SD Card Locked either unless you have the notch on the card slid to the locked position.
I think I'd still try a different card. Also try blowing the slot out with canned air. I blow out the slot on my M60 a couple times a year.

When you put the card in its says sd card on the screen.
Then 3 seconds later it disappears. It goes back to using
the internal memory or when it does stay when u got to change
modes it disappears

I'm not real sure that formatting the card is going to help but here's how to do it.
Put the card in your computer and go to My Computer icon.
Right click the "removeable drive" that is the sd card and select format.

alright bought 2 new sd this week
one works just fine the other when you cut
the camera on it displays sd locked and will not go off the screen
check the lock on and its not locked

What namebrand card?
have you tried Sandisk or Kingston cards?
Those are all I use all my cameras love them.

two i bought was sandisk and my other was kingston
i sent moultrie an email they ask me what brand i was
using that was two weeks ago i guess they are ignore
me now

Haven't heard the greatest of stories about Moultrie's customer service lately.
I have heard nothing but great things about HCO's customer service for their ScoutGuard cams.
