Suggestions
 

im looking in to buying a trail cam, never used one before and not sure where ill put it when i get one but i was wondering what ones yall would suggest to get...spent a lot of money this year for hunting season already include prices plz?

Depending if its on sale or not, the Moultrie d40 is a good camera. It usually ranges from $79 to $99. I have one and have been pleased with it.

I have 2 cuddeback captures (199.00) and 2 scoutguards (199.00-209.00) all work great. If i had to choose between the 2 i would have to choose the scoutguard simply becauseit hasbetter battery life, smaller size, and video mode.

I have to agree with mottz, I would go with the D-40 or if you can swing it, for about 200.00, I would go with either the Scoutguard or the Moultrie I-40. You must remember that if you use an IR camera the battery life is unbelieveable compared to a regular flash camera. I have two Moultrie I-40s and I get about five months out of a set of D-cells. Hope this helps.

Check out the Scoutguard SG550, you wont be dissappointed. I currently own two and love these little cams.

I own 2007 model I40 and like everyone else says, it is great. I think people have almost convinced me into trying the scoutguard because I have heard a couple people saying how the trigger speed on the 2008 I40 is slower. I will definitely stick with the IR type because I don't like buying and changing batteries. Good luck!:D
