Need new Game Camera
Ok so I am looking for a second game camera. I love the one I have now its a Moultrie Game Spy 2.0. Takes Great pics and has great battery life with the 6Volt.
I am looking for something around $100. give or take a little. No more than 150. I am unsure about the d cell cameras. We get some pretty cold weather so I would need something that the batterys can withstand the cold. And has good battery life. I would like to stay with a SD Memory Card. Let me know what you guys think. |

Countryboy,
I'm not sure what your answer might be in that price range. The Moultrie D-40 would be a good choice and it's well within that range but it uses D-cell batteries. Really, in order to get great battery life, you almost have to go with an IR camera, but none of those are in that price range except the Remington Ghost and from what I've read about those, you do not want one. Stealthcam or Wildview might have an IR camera in that range. Sorry I can't be more help. Blessings.....Pastorjim |

RE: Need new Game Camera
Perhaps you could find a good recommendation from www.chasingame.com. They do all types of camera reviews. My recommendations would be out of your price range. I only have one cheaper camera and it is a Bushnell Trail Sentry 2.0. It's not bad, but it does eat batteries (D Cells too).

RE: Need new Game Camera
I couldn't recommend the Moultrie because I just sent my M60 back to the factory for repairs and its brand new(less than 30 pics on it). It would not boot up to setup when you turned it on.
I guess I'll find out about customer service now at Moultrie. |
RE: Need new Game Camera
Although I don't currently own one, the next cam I purchase will be a Scout Guard. There was a previous thread on the little cams and it seemed like everyone who owns one loves them. Great pics, high resolution, great battery life, quality video, and very reasonably priced at around $190-$200. I'd recommend you check them out before you spend your money on something else. JMO
