Looking for Tips and Tricks
 

I have a Cuddeback, but it is broken down. I was telling a friend about it and he said he has 2 cameras he recieved for Christmas and has never used them. He said I could use them if I wanted to. I of course took him up on it. Nowhere's the thing, Ihave not used either one of these cameras before. So Iam looking for any help you guys could give me. I don't really want to have to do much experimenting since it is already almost Oct.

The cameras are:

Moultrie Game Watcher 4.0MP
Stealth Cam MC2-G (35mm)

Iam looking foradvice for camera setting setup tofield setup.

I personally wouldn't mess with the 35mm cam. It's a waste of money in my opinion.
For the Moultrie, Put at least a 2gb card in it and set it to it's highest picture quality. I would place it about waste high on a good size tree in a cleaned up area (moving limbs and tall grass will set it off ) pointed at either a corn pile or feeder. The deer should find it in a couple days.

I wouldn't have spent the money on it either, but he is letting me use it for free and he also gave me 4 rolls of film. I figure I might as well give it a try.

I haven't set mine (I have 3 moultries) up over a trophy rock for a couple months now. Unless you can hunt over bait, you need to find the areas/fields the deer are using. Face one down a corn field edge or a treeline. If not that inside corners or wooded points that protrude into a crop field areexcellent starting points. Waste high, cleaned up area, not facing east or west (direct sun will set it off). That will get you to a good starting point anyway.
