RE: trail camera?
I have had a Moultrie I40 since Christmas knock on wood;)I haven't had any problems with it yet. I haven't heard of anybody having problems. Sportmans Guide has this camera for $199.99 with buyers club membership the 1 G SD card for them costs around $10-$15. Holds alot of pics. They are always nice clear pics, I would suggest getting two cards to switch them when checking the cam. Not much memory on the camera itself. Also would highly suggest getting the SD card reader so you can View them on the tv. I am hoping for another I40 this Christmas. All the pics in my postings are from the I40. Best of luck!!

RE: trail camera?
The Moultrie I40 is my pride and joy...the battery life is out of this world...DOn't waste on the I60...the 4MP I40 is unreal and user friendly...If I had to choose 2nd..I'd go CUDDIE

RE: trail camera?
I got the Moultrie I60 and love it. Good price and I like the pictures. It's updatable so software problems (if any arise) can be fixed.

RE: trail camera?
Hard to beat the Moultrie I-40 although I have heard and read a lot of positives on the Scoutguard They are both about the same price. $200.00 or so.

Here are more options for some real nice cameras.
Trail Watcher 2035 from trailwatcher.com StalkerCam from stalkertrailcam.com Trail Stalker from whitetailsupply.com |
RE: trail camera?
best bang for buck, IMO....u can pick up a stealth 35mm for $20 on ebay....i have 10 and they all work great:D
|
RE: trail camera?
I would say yes to the I40 if it is a 2007 model. Not liking the 2008 models as for reasons I cant figure out, has a trigger time of 3.5 seconds plus and more whiteouts than I can handle :( I think the scout guards are edging them this year.............

RE: trail camera?
i want something infrared.
|
RE: trail camera?
Leaf River, Moultrie, Cudde an Reconyxwould be my pick. Out of those four Reconyx is the fastest hands down. .25 trigger speed an will take up to 2 pics a second under good conditions. On the highest MP setting it is a picture a second all the way up to 10 pics no rest period. TheLeaf River will takevideo with sound. Check out www.trailcampro.com for more info.

RE: trail camera?
i want something that has good distance the one i have now cant get out more then 20ft
|
RE: trail camera?
The ones that I listed all have good distance. Go to www.trailcampro.com they havein depth comparsion charts. One thing I also like is a camera that is programmable day time only or night only or 24 hrs pics.
