Wow, I recently moved to Rville and had no idea there were bucks like that here. Ever hunt Holla Bend NWR, suppose to be some monsters, stick/string only. But I guess you dont need to hunt anything but what you got there.

Holla Bend has produced some record book bucks over the years. It seems to have its ups and downs though. It used to be farmed, now the agriculture fields have been replaced with sapling hardwoods. I have several friends that hunt it religiously, their reports vary from year to year.

mid to High 140's on the first, the second is kinda hard to judge with a good look but i would say mid 150's maybe pushing 160. Looks like its gonna be an exciting year for you.

I was hoping 160's. I try not to get the "big eye", but he has it all. Hopefully I can get some pics with the velvet off in a week or two. Then we might be able to guess at him a little better
