Helped Buddy....Unbelievable find! (Updated)
 

** not my pics, read story please**

One of my buddies that lives down the road needed help with his deer camera. He's had it for awhile but never had it out this year till last week. It had 170 pics on it and when he went to check them he found out that he lost the cord. He asked me if i could help him out and i tried but didn't have the rights cord for it. He thenaskedanother neighbor (also a buddy) and he ended uphaving a memory card that fit it so after he checked the cameras his son gave me a call telling me i had to stop over ASAP.

This is what had been around during the week:









He hadfour different mature bucks visiting his salt lick along with two or three 1.5 year olds.



Heres the unbelivable part. This buck showed up 1 time. He may have been seen at a distance a few times during the summer but nobody knows for sure. He looks to be a 16 point with the potential for another two or three points to grow in the next month.









This spot is less than half a mile from my salt lick and i have never seen any of these bucks. Ill have to wait till the rut gets closer to see if they will disperse ;)

WOW!!! He has very long main beams and a great spread. Looks like an old buck. I bet he was even better last year. Very unique!

Wow that thing is about 25 inches wide, he would be a true trophy. Those are the bucks that come out during the rut andhave every tom, dick and hairy try to run it over with their truck.

For some reason we dont have that many roadkills around my parts (that i see anyways:eek:)....but we do get poachers every once in awhile. Besides from my family and freinds in the area (and 1 old cranky geezer [:@]) the bucks dont get much pressure until gun season, then every redneck with a gun is in the woods. If they survive that one week they end up like that old buck;)
