Default ScoutGuard 550 in Oklahoma

I've had mine for a coupleweeks. I put it out the first few days set to take video and only got one doe. But the video quality was awesome. I did not play with it enough to learn the right distance to set it from the bait pile. Last week I set it out again this time for stills. I had it set on the higher res. I hit the jackpot on location but again, I did not have it set close enough to the bait. My only complaint so far is the power of the IR LEDs. They need a little more umph. I have an LED array I would like to set as an extra. Sure would be nice if they provided a way to trigger an external array. Here are a few pics.

I have it back out right now set to 30 sec video. I hope to get a few closeups of some of the better bucks.

Wow, who knew OK had that many bruisers! Those are nice for sure. BTW, I set my cams CLOSE to the bait pile. Between 5-10'. I also put it about 2 feet from the ground perfectly level or just slightly aimed down. You will get some partial shots like this, but you'r much more likely to get "The" shot with good detail. I can't wait to see closeups ofthose guys!

Nice pics! As far as more power to the IRs, the amount of power drawn in these units is just right for long term. It will last for months. If they increase the power to the IRs that will substantially lower the life of the batteries like in some other manufacturers that are limited to like 30 days or less. More power, more batteries. More batteries, more money.
