Now this is a bachelor group
At least 10 bucks and a happy doe. Click slideshow above the first pic. It's a little longwinded. ;)

ORIGINAL: Huntingtherut Nice pics!!! You must have a fenced in deer farm on your property and a cam on theevening feeder. Lol.... Send me some buck urine for the fall!! ;)No fence within several miles and no feeder anywhere. They sure love that alfalfa though. Shouldn't have a shortage of buck urine if I can figure out how to collect it. ![]() |

Nice pics!!, I have to agree though that it does appear to look as though they are from fenced in deer to me as well.. I also noticed that those bucks have long skinny necks pretty much like our does up here. Is that a normal trait for deer in your area this time of year?

ORIGINAL: janesburg Great pics Don.
Thanks Todd I moved that cam today without checking the card first. Didn't know what I had til I ran them up on the computer. I might have to reconsider putting it back. :) |

I also noticed that those bucks have long skinny necks pretty much like our does up here. Is that a normal trait for deer in your area this time of year? Come take a look. It's nice here this time of year. Not even a 3ft fence that I know of anywhere in the section. They are all young bucks, might be a couple there that will be 2 1/2 this fall. The necks will fill out late Oct here. |
RE: Now this is a bachelor group
I stand corrected. Just thought of a 4ft fence surrounding a small cemetary 1 1/2 mile away. I suppose to keep the deer out. :D Now posted signs, thats another matter altoghether. ;)

RE: Now this is a bachelor group
I counted no less than 6 shooter bucks of the 10 captured by the camera.........
You'll certainly have your choice (along with the doe) as to which one you'll like to get up close & personal with! Rob |
RE: Now this is a bachelor group
Got my eye on a couple of them in that group. Hopefully some will stick around.

RE: Now this is a bachelor group
Nice pictures! I've noticed that the bachelor groups around here are not hanging together so much the last couple of weeks. Pretty cool that all those bucks are still out feeding together. Thanks for sharing those pics! :)

RE: Now this is a bachelor group
That is neat, you can really see the difference in how far along antler growth is, some of the bucks have just barely started to grow points, while others have nice points already.
