cuddeback capture

I plan on buying a cuddeback capture, but I would like to know how to check it in the field. I was hoping I could just put the card in my digital camera.

You can do that as long as your camera takes the same kind of memory cards as the Cuddeback. The Capture takes a SD card. I would buy 2 memory cards for the Cudde. When you check it take out the card in the Cudde and put in a fresh one.

I will be putting one out next week , they take SD cards and make sure that you get 2 of them. You can setup the camera and have it take sme pictures then put in the other card in and take that one home to see what is in your field of veiw .

I agree having 2 cards works best.

If anyone is interested, I just finished writing up a brief review of my first impressions of this camera here: http://trailcam.com/blogs/trail_camera_reviews/archive/2008/08/25/cuddeback-capture-first-look.aspx

Overall I like the way it works so far, SUPER easy to set up and use, hopefully it takes some decent pictures! At that $200 price point it's a good bargain if it performs as well as my older Cudde's.

Anyone get any field pics from theirs yet??

Thankyou for the review. I look forward to seeing some of the pics. As for preventing theft, I have started using the treestand locks that you can buy at walmart. It comes with a black cable and a lock built in. I put the cable throught the little hole on my stealthcam and lock it and the only way to steal the camera is to cut down the tree. I cant tell from the pics if the hole at the bottom of the camera is big enough but you might try a smaller cable.
