Need Help!!!!!
Hey guys,
I just went to digital pics last year and was wanting to get them transferred to digital. Can you guys tell me the most efficient or best way to get this done. I have litterally a ton of pics and dont have all the negatives that I would like to have in digital form....Any help is appreciated.... |
RE: Need Help!!!!!
If you are talking about 35mm pics? The only way I know is to scan them an put them in your files.

RE: Need Help!!!!!
Yeah thats what I was thinking, but I thought maybe someone here had some genious idea or some new technology that would make it more efficient........I am not real techy if you know what I mean....:D

RE: Need Help!!!!!
Yes, I had the same problem last year, and you do have to scan them and put them in a seperate folder. I had a friend show me how. I'm not techy enough myselfto explain to you how it's done. Sorry.[&o]

RE: Need Help!!!!!
He is right, just scan them. I still run a couple 35mm cameras but I only scan the good pictures of the bucks I get. I havea folder and I have every buck picture in there. If I get more than one picture of a buck I just put my favorite one in there. I have all my buck pictures stored on computer back to 2001, that is when I bought my first trail cam. It is fun to see how much some of them have grown from year to year.

RE: Need Help!!!!!
Trust me, scan them. There are some printers you can buy though that you can insert the 35mm film negatives and get digital files of the pictures. I don't know the price though because my school had it. Try searching at walmart.com or eBay for them.

RE: Need Help!!!!!
I would suggest the best way would be to scan the pics and place in to your files or if you don't own a scanner then you could use a digital camera and take a pic of them and do them that way as well. Either way is pretty time consuming.
Good luck. |
RE: Need Help!!!!!
there are scanners out there that will accept a stack of pictures and scan them 1 by 1. I've seen them. might not make sense to buy one just for this though. maybe you can find a copy place that will do this? I've thought about it too, I have 35mm pictures going back to 2000 (I still have 2 film cameras). The last couple years when I've brought the film in I told them I just wanted the cd, no pictures. That's usually quite a bit cheaper. Something to think about it if you are planning on still using 35mm.

RE: Need Help!!!!!
I was going to suggest the multipic self feeding scanner. RackLuster beat me to it. If you have a bunch of pics other than the trailcam pics it may be worth it.
Also you may check local companies that may do them for you. I have a couple scanners but none that feed the pictures automaticaly. I have some slides (family)from the 70's I'd like to scan. I have yet to go through them all. it would be nice to have them all digital... I just don't have the time right now. |
RE: Need Help!!!!!
Yeah, I was trying to find a way to do this and save time. I will try taking a couple pic's with my digital camera and see how they turn out and go from there..........Thanks for all the advice guys, I appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!
