RE: Trail cameras and success?
Made me abeliever. If you get a 200 class deer on camera, You cant help but hunt harder and have more confidence in your hunting area. Your more likely to let good bucks walk when you know you may get a shot at great bucks.

The more I learn about the area and its animals, the "luckier" I get. No doubt it keeps me in the woodslonger if there is a particular deer I have in mind. Last year it was these guys that kept me focused. No shots, but did have sightings. I have every reason to believethey are bothstill around.

To me the biggest benefit of trail cameras is they tell you which properties to hunt and which ones not to hunt.I have a trail camera up at my inlaws. I haven't gotten one good buck picture in 2 years. there used to be lots of good bucks there. why waste my time there? Also, with my camera I 'inventoried' 9 different bucks on my land last year. It definitely helps to know what's out there!

RE: Trail cameras and success?
i say both.
My first camera i figure i would try one out and see what happens. After that first buck picture i was hooked. It makes the off season go by much faster.
For me- more entertainment then tracking. But this year (3rd year of owning a camera) i will be moving them around more. I have two of them , a stealth cam wd2 flash, and a moultrie I-40 I.R. flash.
