Default Feeder.

Here are a couple pics of some deer at the feeder. If you look real close it looks like they just recently dropped the antlers... Dont mind the date. These pics were taken tues night.

Nice pics. Nice garbage can feeder too. Do you have problems with bears at all? Just wondering what one might do to it, I'm trying to find a bear proof feeder. I'm out $129, my tripod feeder was no match!!!

Actually have not had bear problems withit. And i have a buch of bear around. I have it attached to the tree with a hunk of chain. But i made the feeder cheap. can cost me 15, moultrie feeder kit was 30 at walmart. 10 dollars for the paint to camo it. so it it does get destroyed not a real big loss...

I USE 30-60GAL BARRELS HUNG ON STEEL CABLE BETWEEN TWO TREES. I USE A BOAT WINCH TO FILL THE BARRLES WHEN NEEDED. IT KEEPS THE BEARS AT BAY AND THIEVES AWAY. I HAVE SEVERAL PHOTOS OF BEARS TRYING TO REACH THE BARRELS, BUT IT'S TO HIGH AND THE ONES THAT TRIED TO GO OUT ON THE WIRE HAVE FALLEN.

WVSPORTSMAN- Do you have a picture of your setup. This small one works for here in pa, but at my family's property in upstate NY, we have some huge bear and we are thinking about using a 55 gal drumb with an auto feeder on the bottom like mine pictured here...

THAT IS A 60 GAL PLASTIC BARREL(FOOD GRADE) FROM A PICKLE FACTORY IN NC. HOLDS 300LBS OF FEED. JUST A WORD OF CAUTION. 55 GAL METAL DRUMS HAVE TO BE HUNG ALITTLE DIFFERENT THEN THE ONE PICTURED. YOU HAVE TO PUT IT IN A CRADLE, EASY DONE WITH THE LEFT OVER STEEL WIRE YOU BUY. ONE THING I FOUND OUT QUICKLY, WAS THAT NOT ALL FEEDER UNITS CAN HANDLE THAT KINDA WEIGHT OVER THEM. I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER AMERICAN HUNTER PRODUCT. I HAD THE RD PRO . LASTED ABOUT 3WEEKS FOR BATTERYS AND GOT STUCK ALL THE TIME. I USE THE MOULTRIE MAGNUM FEEDER BOXES. THEY ARE ALL METAL AND HOLD TWO BATTERIES AND AN INDUSTRIAL SIZE MOTOR. JUST A NOTE WALMART.COM IS SELLING THEM WAY CHEAPER THAN EVERONE ELSE..30-50 BUCKS CHEAPER AND FREE SHIPPING TO YOUR LOCAL STORE. I HAVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH KENCO FEEDER UNITS ALSO..I THINK THERE RATED AS CRUSH PROOF.
