I have a Bushnell 2.1. Good trigger but it occasionally falls asleep and it eats batteries like mad. It's never made it a week on a set of batteries. I now have rechargeables I use for it (they cost $50ish) but you still can't leave it out for an extended period because of the poor battery life.

I have two of them and I agree with npaden, it sucks batteries but it does take good pics and has a good trigger speed. I saw a link with ideas to make an external battery hook-up that im going to try, i hope it will help out.

I had one of the New 5.0 trailscouts. It was junk, had about a 5 foot flash range, both white and IR. Trigger time was awfull. Spen the $$ and get a Cuddeback.
