Buck with an unusual wound
 

This buck showed up out of the blue a few days ago. Notice it has an unusual scar or wound in about the area you would aim. I wonder if this is an old injury? Although I can't imagine a deer surviving a shot in this area.

Note: This buck is in a bow-only county.

I'm thinking that might be from another bucks antler during a fight.

it's a benign tumor. i have seen several of these. some get quite large.

It certainly doesn't look like an arrow wound, I concur it might be an antler wound in a fight.
