Supposedly Moultrie was going to have a 12 volt solar panel available for these in the Fall of 2007. Who knows when they will come out.

RE: moultrie d-40

I talked to a local hunting store to see about the availablility of the 12-volt rechargeable battery for the Moultrie D40's (I have two of them). They had them in stock for around $30 each. I asked them about the cable needed for the cameras and he stated that the cable was included with the battery. I asked about the Solar Panel and he stated that they did not have any. I may check back to see if it requires a special Solar Panel or if any 12-volt one will work. I would tend to think that one with the clips would do, but don't hold me to it. If I had thought about it, I should have looked yesterday at the battery while I was in the store.

I live within 20 minutes of Alabaster, AL where the company is located.
