Best Batteries?

What is the best brand of batteries to use in a Stealth Cam? I just got 2 I450's and put some cheaper rayovac batteries in them. They both took about 14 pictures and only lasted a week. How much difference would Energizers or Duracells make or should I be looking at the 12v external battery?

I hope you didn't use the Ray-0-Vac heavy duty because you should only use alkaline batteries.

I've been using Energizer's and they're holding up well. I'm using a Moultrie I60 though.

I always use Rayovac alkaline batteries in my cams, they are cheaper, and last longer than the rest. My newest Cuddeback even has the results of their battery testing and gives several brands, and the amounts of pics taken with eack, and the Rayovacs outlasted the other brands. Always use alkaline battereis in your camera.

I've always used Duracells in my Cudde.

What about the nicad rechargeable batteries? I just bought some and thought I would try those. Why only alkaline batteries?

I plan on buying some of the Stealth I450's next year, and am excited about using the rechargable gel cell batteries I have instead of sending C cells to the landfill. They last forever, though they are a bit bulky. I should be able to wire them up for cheap with a quick trip to Radio Shack.

Tell me more about these batteries. Where do you get them? What do they cost? Is there something special about the Stealth Cam that they are designed for it?

The Stealth Cam's have a plugin for external 12V batteries, of which I have 3 for my MarCum fishfinder. Basically these:

I wasnt impressed with Duracells, but has anybody noticed that the batteries come loose inside the camera and it shows low battery because of this?
