Would be very hard to pass, even in IL, but I would try to hold off. He would taste good and would look good on the wall though. I am no help, I know!

imho...shoot him. if you are going to let him walk to get bigger, you are teetering on deer farming not hunting. it's nice to shoot big bucks but when you are passing up big bucks to let them grow bigger and shoot later, you're just antler hunting not deer hunting.
